Who Am I ?

I studied agronomy at the “Ecole National Supérieure d’Agronomie” in Toulouse (ENSA). In addition, I received a Master’s degree in plant molecular physiology in 1996.  My primary motivation is translating basic science into concrete solutions along the value chain from field to fork.

I studied agronomy at the “Ecole National Supérieure d’Agronomie” in Toulouse (ENSA). In addition, I received a Master’s degree in plant molecular physiology in 1996.  My primary motivation is translating basic science into concrete solutions along the value chain from field to fork.

I started my career as a commercial plant breeder for several vegetable seed companies (Bayer Crop science ex Seminis, Enza, Rijk Zwaan). I have worked on processing peas, cantaloupes, and sweet and hot peppers, utilizing a variety of cropping systems, including open field, indoors, and both summer and winter crops.

After living in Turkey for 6 years as an expat, I joined Nestlé France in 2010. As the cocoa project leader, I was responsible for launching and leading agronomic projects that support the commitment of the corporate program to help cocoa bean producers world-wide, the Nestlé Cocoa Plan. Among other tasks, I also managed the experimental farm in Ecuador (CAPEX and OPEX) and I was in charge of the implementation of quality and QSHE corporate standards.

Driven by the Business Unit (BU) confectionary I defined the R&D strategy in plant science and rolled out the scientific and technological (S&T) roadmap. I also had the opportunity to work on projects linked to the sustainable sourcing of raw plant materials for different BU, such as infant nutrition, skin health, and pet food. During a corporate 18-month training program (so-called micro-MBA), I learnt how to drive innovation using lean start-up tools.

In 2018, I became the head of a R&D center specializing in herb and perfume plants. My main goals were to modernize the way of working within the institution and develop partnerships with public and private entities in France and beyond. I settle analytic tools to monitor the daily activities and forecast them more accurately, I had the team trained in the basics of project management. I designed S&T roadmaps for plant breeding, agronomy, and phytochemistry.

Today, I am glad to share with you my broad experience in plant science and strategy in R&D. I am able to offer a broad range of consultancy activities that I will design and tailor specifically to your needs in order to leverage the skills of your team, and improve the overall efficiency of your projects.
